Warehouse Supervisor

Bailey Finch Associates recruitment specialists have pleasure in assisting our client with the role of Warehouse Supervisor within their business.

The objective of the role is to take responsibility for the day to day running of the operation to the standards required and within the company’s guidelines, rules and regulations, whilst meeting customer requirements. Reporting directly to the Duty Manager, this position involves a rotating shift pattern consisting of 4 on/off days and nights.

Key Responsibilities:
Schedules and deadlines are adhered to.
Communicate & Implement change as directed.
Health & Safety compliance in accordance with company policy.
Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behaviour.
Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service.
Ensure compliance with OHS procedures and practices.
Supervision of all staff under your direct or indirect control.
Administration duties as required to ensure daily KPI/SLA performance is achieved.
All resources are utilized efficiently.
Coordinate efficient operation of the warehouse.
Plan and coordinate labour
Train and monitor staff in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safe work practices, including new employee inductions and tool box talks.
Continuously monitor the performance and activities of the warehouse through the use of KPIs, with a primary focus on cost controls.

Desirable Skills/Experience

•    A minimum of two years experience working in a Cargo Warehouse Operation

•    Experience of leading a team or other supervisory experience

•    High Level of Team Work

•    Ability to use PC/IT systems (Training will be given)

•    Ability to work to strict operational deadlines, and motivate others to meet customer needs.

•    An understanding of basic Health and Safety Procedures and Security requirements.
