Driver

Bailey Finch Associates have pleasure in assisting their client with the role or Airside Driver at Heathrow Airport.

The role will involve:

•    Working weekends, Bank Holidays and a variety of shifts
•    Driving company and contracted vehicles to transport cargo between locations as required and within legal compliance
•    Loading and unloading of cargo received for import and export
•    Processing documentation, ensuring compliance with worldwide legislation and law
•    To ensure company and contracted vehicles are kept clean and tidy and to report any mechanical problems immediately.
•    Required to support warehouse assist x-ray screening where necessary
•    Help to maintain a clean and tidy environment for working within the warehouse and Ramp
Mindful of security of cargo and trucks as required by BAA/DFT and CAA

Key Skills Required:

•    Full driving licence and LGV1 licence
•    CPC Qualified
•    Manual dexterity
•    Physical fitness
•    Hand-eye coordination
•    Numerate and literate
•    Computer awareness and literacy
•    Ability to work under pressure
•    Ability to accept responsibility
•    Good communication

Knowledge of:

•    Manual handling and safe practice
•    Health & Safety legislation
•    Dangerous goods acceptance and handling
•    Pallet build processes
•    General cargo legislation awareness
•    Hazard spotting
•    General Customs bond awareness
