Bailey Finch Recruitment have pleasure in assisting our client with the vacancy of General Manager within their group of Pub/Restaurants.

The role will involve:

To plan, organise and manage the pub/restaurant activities, so as to maintain and develop sales, customer service standards, development of staff and deliver on legal compliance responsibilities, in line with The Companies objectives.

Plan and organise for the effective running of the Pub/Restaurant, setting clear targets and delegating responsibilities to the management team and staff

Organise and maintain resources

Maintain the upkeep and safe condition of the premise and equipment

Carry out site inspections and take action on findings

Manage costs at the site: maximise sales and minimise waste/costs

Respond to customer requirements and seasonal demands

Meet sales, wage, and operation targets

Contribute to developing the business activities and turnover

Create and maintain a work environment that encourages communication

Provide communication on company standards, values, targets, and events

Hold weekly Managers meetings

Keep team informed and updated

Select and recruit staff that are engaging, efficient, articulate, and well presented

Plan for and oversee adequate rotas and staffing levels, considering skills mix and business needs

Promote a culture that encourages employee participation, a professional approach, open communication, a fun exciting workplace and supports the Barons values of ‘being the best you can be’

Plan for and develop staff competency through training, coaching, monitoring and appraisals

Plan, organise and manage food safety and health and safety standards in line with company policies, procedures; monitoring compliance in all departments

Manage and respond to action points raised from inspections and audits

Comply with Trading standards and Licensing requirements and instructions

Create an environment for continued improvement and development
