Bailey Finch Associates have pleasure in assisting our client with the role of Category Manager.

The role will involve:

Manage the category management and sourcing of Direct and Indirect materials and services, to introduce, develop and manage framework agreements for the UK businesses.

Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies. 

Your responsibilities

    To minimise the cost of materials and plant supplied to our client
    To improve service level agreements with suppliers and internal departments.
    To participate in the implementation of strategic procedural and practical changes to increase productivity and performance.
    To comply with company Procedures and policy on procurement including participation in Audits (Internal/External).
    Tenders – Assist Procurement Manager in preparation of enquiry documents and tender review sheets.
    Analysis of current and future category spend patterns.
    Implementation of procedures and supply agreements.
    Negotiation with suppliers.
    Progressing the provision of materials and services to meet contract programmes and deadlines.
    Competency using Company Internal Systems and Procedures.
    Ability to review standard questions.
    Obtain best values.
    Undertake other duties involving the procurement of goods and services for the business.
    Record all financial statistics.
    Collation of data to regularly report on individual and department KPIs.
