Accountant

Bailey Finch Associates are delighted to assist their client with the role of Accountant within their business.

The role will involve:

Support the Finance Business Partner  in providing financial support, advice and governance to the Central and Regions Operating Unit.  Primarily accountable for providing accurate financial and management information to facilitate this.


Your responsibilities

    Timely production of accurate relevant monthly financial and project information, assist with quarterly forecasts and annual budgets in accordance with  the company's internal, international and UK accounting policies
    Management of the accounting entries for the sales completion process.
    Management of accounting systems and processes including reconciliation of records and system access
    Monitoring of the S&A costs against forecasts and budgets including the review of departmental selling and administration expenses.
    Monitoring and reporting revenue and costs against projects.
    Production of JV’s financial and project reports including quarterly management reports and annual statutory accounts. Reporting through the Finance function, exercise appropriate governance to safeguard company’s financial position
    Collation of PSA and other tax returns
    Control recharges to contracts and JVs and ensure backup to ensure recovery and compliance with client requirements.
    Ensure recharges are timely and queries resolved in a timely manner.
    Review, analysis and reporting of cash forecast
    Provide year end statutory information to Group Finance
    Ensuring that the Finance shared service function provides appropriate financial services
    Responsible for review and improvement of internal financial controls and business processes.

Skills & Qualifications required:

    Accountancy qualification – ACA, ACCA, ACMA
    Good knowledge of accounting and computer systems up to date knowledge of financial and management accounting practices.
    Knowledge of international accounting requirements; esp. long term contract accounting
