Mechanical Quality Inspector

The Inspector role is focused on the day to day inspection from goods inwards to final release

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

 ü   To conduct inspection activities against drawings and specification

ü   To record and maintain inspection and test records

ü   The calibration of inspection, measuring and test equipment in line with company procedures

ü   Support production in resolving queries with customer information

ü   Supporting internal auditors when carrying out systems and process audits

ü   The control of non conforming product

ü   Verify manufacturing processes output is compliant with order requirement

ü   To liaise with customers and suppliers on quality issues when directed by the Group Quality Manager

ü   Evaluate customer complaints and returns and to liaise with the Production Foreman on corrective and preventive action

ü   Carry out internal audits under the supervision of the Group Quality Manager

ü   Coordinate the identification, segregation and disposition of non conforming product, including internal scrap, rework, concessional items and customer returns

Essential Competencies:

ü   Understanding of inspection measuring and test equipment within an engineering environment

ü   CMM Inspection

ü   Understanding of the general requirements of ISO 9001

ü   Ability to communicate at all levels on task and process related issues

ü   Driving Licence

Desirable Competencies:

ü   Internal audit skills

ü   Understanding of the AS9100 standard

ü   Quality improvement tools and techniques
