Job description
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Manage, coach & develop their team, ensuring the work of the team is of the required quality and completed in a timely manner.
Managing Operations – Functional Technical Skills
Provide civil/structural advice and support to all projects and engineers as and when required.
Continuous improvement and innovation. Should be able to identify and research innovative products and working practices. Keen to be involved in achieving the necessary co-operation to implement these innovations.
Will be expected to input on issues of CAD and software requirements. In moving towards whole life asset management looking at how using 3D software affects arrangements with existing Surveying subcontractors particularly in the area of 3D laser scanning.
Have a good working knowledge of relevant current design standards and legislation, roll out to team where necessary. I.e. CDM, EUROCODES, BS, LOLER, DSEAR, PUWER, COSHH, NRSWA etc.

Skills/Knowledge /Experience & Qualifications
- Technical expertise in civil & structural engineering
- Work as part of a team being involved in a variety of projects to help the development of solutions to deliver improvements and enhancements to process systems
- Using appropriate software to provide advice, solutions and successful project outcomes for clients.
- Review and approve reports, calculations, drawings required to support the successful delivery of projects.
- Maintain communication and develop on going contacts with clients as required within a fully collaborative delivery model.
- Complete all work in line with Core Values and in accordance with established Health & Safety, Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
