Bailey Finch Associates are assisting our client for the vacancy of HR Manager covering the North England. The remit covers, as North as Leeds and to the West, Manchester and Liverpool. The role is initially a six month interim role.
The role will involve:
Recruitment
·Ensure the Company recruitment process is followed at all times
·Train Management Team, both new to the business and internal promotions, in the Company recruitment procedures
·Assist the Recruitment Team with the recruitment process of Management and Sales Consultants
·Work with the Recruitment Team to manage and maintain the Divisional footprints ensuring that the right people are in the right place at the right time
·Work with the L&D Team to ensure that new employees are fully inducted into the business and have the appropriate skills and capabilities to deliver business excellence
Performance Management
·Support and coach Managers & Divisional Managers in conducting regular reviews of employee’s performance
·Coaching Managers on performance management issues and processes thereby ensuring that high performers are nurtured and developed and poor performers are managed appropriately.
Employee Relations
·Ensure that all employee relations issues and cases are managed professionally and in line with legislation and Company procedure
·Support and coach Managers and Divisional Managers in all area of people management including but not limited to disciplinary and grievance procedures, absence management, equal opportunities, redundancies, paternity pay and maternity rights
·Be responsible for own administration and follow up all actions with associated administration
·Conduct training or provide on the job training to Managers and Divisional Managers relating to Discipline and Grievance hearing, Equal Opportunities, Absence Management, Performance Management
Talent Management
·Work with the Managers and Divisional Managers to identify and develop key talent and manage succession
·Identify talent and working cross functionally to implement succession planning
·Coach and support the Managers and Divisional Managers on talent management and succession planning
Metrics
·Divisional and business performance is driven through the monitoring of HR, financial and other performance related metrics
·Produce and review monthly HR statistics (Labour Turnover, Absence, Discipline & Grievance, ET’s, and Moves etc )
·Pro-actively identify people issues and trends which affect business performance and results and work with key stakeholders to formulate and implement solutions.
Other
·Ensure that the application of HR practices is consistent across Divisions
·Implementation of existing and new HR Policy, procedures and processes
·Any other tasks, duties, ad hoc HR projects and accountabilities appropriate to the role and position
·Comply with all other reasonable requests made by Directors, Head of Department and Senior Management
·Ensure activities meet and comply with organisational and legal requirements for health and safety and general duty of care.
Principal Skills & Attributes Required:
·Previously worked as an HR Manager, preferably in a fast-paced service-industry such as Retail, FMCG, hospitality etc
·Strong ER background with the ability to manage disciplinary, grievance from informal stages through to appeal hearings, performance management
·Excellent understanding of UK employment legislation and a sound working knowledge of Human Resources practices
·Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite, bespoke systems, etc with the ability to produce presentations, written reports and communications and manipulate data to produce statistical reports
·Attention to detail
·Used to multi site environments
·Thorough approach and attention to detail
·A questioning and enquiring approach
·A commercial and pragmatic mindset
·An insight into and an understanding of people
·A persuasive, diplomatic and influencing manner
·A full UK driving licence
·CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD qualifications
